From oblivion he returned to play.

Despite Cancer clouding many a day.

With courage he mustered the strength to comeback.

And instead of Cancer winning, Lester went on the attack.

His confidence has peaked, he burns in strike one.

He dissects each hitter, until the game is won.

Lester wiggles out of trouble like a ten year vet.

Destroying every challenge he has ever met.

When the pressure tightens, Lester stays relaxed.

Never allowing his opponent a chance to comeback.

He navigates the game like the Captain of a ship.

Staying clear of danger and not letting a lead slip.

Lester is the one we want in the fray.

Calm, relaxed, and poised to pounce.

He eyes the pitcher for any movement that'll give away his intentions.

Jason Bay's demeanor always stays the same.

He keeps his focus only on the game.

He knows the situation and what's needed to win.

Then he makes a great catch or drives a run in.

In left field, he makes every play.

No matter if it's routine or diving to take extra bases away.

Don't test his arm because he'll gun you down.

Then you'll return to the dugout wearing a frown.

At-bat, he's coiled and ready to strike.

Patiently waiting to drive the pitch he likes.

His smooth, righty stroke launching another shot.

As the summer warms-up, he'll being doing that alot.

Bay has great instincts and knows when to be aggressive.

Though underrated his base running is impressive.

Don't be fooled, on the base paths he's a threat.

Him going from first to third, on a single, is a safe bet.

Bay's an all-around player, and in the clutch he comes through.

On the ball field, there is nothing he can't do.

With our team being lead by the likes of Jason Bay,

I woke up this morning depressed and weary.

I wasn't thinking very clearly.

The Red Sox loss gave me doubt.

I had to figure it out.

Then it came to me and I was shocked.

I forgot we had Youk at First, and he's our rock.

And Pedroia at Second is very stout.

His glove and bat make us shout.

The man at Thid was World Series MVP.

Mike Lowell is Mr. Consistency.

The new kid at Short had the goods.

Lowrie makes all the plays he should.

Left is stacked with great clout.

Manny might take any pitch out.

The two in Center have the feel.

I love when Ellsbury and Crisp steal.

Right is home to JD Drew.

Everyday he shows something new.

The man who brings all this together,

ans he makes everyone better.

Our Catching Captain leads the way.

Varitek sets the example everyday.

The Starting Rotation is very strong.

Beckett number 1, where he belongs.

Dice K brings a lot of heat.

We all know he can't be beat.

Lester pitches with heart and soul.

He demands respect with his pinpoint control.

Wakefield is reliable as can be.

His starts end in victory.

Buchholz is young and learning quickly.

The No-Hit Kid's pitches are very tricky.

The bullpen ends the game.

Head Pirate Papelbon puts the opposition to shame.

He comes in throwing smoke.

The other team can only choke.

Tito and Theo have the helm,

and they will take the Red Sox to another realm.

Leading the way with a firm grip,

they have their sites on many more World Series trips.

Doubt creeps in from time to time,

but my Faith is in its prime.

The Red Rule on every level,

and everyday they prove their mettle.
